“Chris and I want you and all of your band to know how much we loved having you at our wedding. Your music was great and you created the environment we wanted! So many people have been telling us how great you are – and we agree.  I think it is remarkable that all ages loved you – from our 4 year old daughter to my 93 year old grandfather.”
Michelle and Chris,  Greater Boston Wedding – Summer 2009

“We just wanted to thank you again so much for the amazingly beautiful music on Saturday!  It was absolutely perfect and everything we had hoped for – and more!  Honestly.   All of our family and friends kept going on about how great you all were and what a fabulous time they had dancing – which I’m sure you noticed.  You were also great to work with – relaxed yet very on-top of everything.  THANK YOU!”

“This group of Bluegrass players belies their youth. As their name implies, they provide a goodtime for all ages. Harmonies are great, pickin’ and playin’ are tight. Their exuberance is definitely catching and their performance at the Lakes Region Conservation Trust’s 2nd Annual Afternoon of Bluegrass at Castle in the Clouds, Moultonborough, NH was outstanding. They’ll definitely be welcomed back next year!”
Kitty Boyle, Director Lakes Region Conservation Trust

“…love the versatility of your music. Your authentic bluegrass style is just right for a lively party crowd but also perfect for background music so it’s easy to have conversations. Being a Southerner, you really made me miss home. I think it’s safe to say our future parties will definitely include the Goodtime Charlies whenever possible! Bring on the Rocky Top!”
Cail and Joe Bellavance

“This band’s lilting and lovely bluegrass blew everyone away. Our party, despite pouring rain, will be forever remembered as one of the greats due to the remarkable playing that characterized the night. It was superb music and I cannot recommend The band more highly.”

Whether you’re planning a party in the heart of Kentucky or a special gathering in Boston, bluegrass music will set your feet to tappin’. Similar to jazz, bluegrass bands bring an unmistakable sound that sets a wonderful mood for corporate parties, family reunion picnics, barbecues and more. Bluegrass bands usually incorporate fiddles, banjos, guitars, upright basses and other instruments including the mandolin, played by the founding father of bluegrass music himself: Bill Monroe. Originating from English, Irish and Scottish roots bluegrass music now has developed a strong American influence under the direction of such legends as Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt. The vocals and instrumentals a bluegrass band delivers can bring great energy and interest to any event you plan.
