The Wachusett Ale on tap is wonderful! But the food at the Inn is notoriously bad
I believe this is one of the longest running bluegrass jams in the Greater Boston area. There is usually a gathering of beginners/slow jammers on the porch. Other jam circles pop-up in rooms around the Inn, some outdoors if the weather is nice. The people are always friendly, and the jamming is usually really good!
If you are interested in learning bluegrass music, this is a great place to start! Spectators are welcome, and the Inn is a pretty interesting hang.
The Stagecoach Inn is actually one of Old New England’s earliest lodging hotel, restaurant, and bed and breakfast establishments. Its foundations dating back almost a full century before the American Revolution. Built originally in 1678 and formerly known as the Groton Inn, The Stagecoach Inn and Tavern was accepted on August 3, 1976 for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places administrated in the Commonwealth by the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
