Hot on the heels of the Lowell CD Release Party, Amy Black and the RCRs are heading into Boston (Somerville, actually) to do it again. Come out to celebrate and hear the music!

When: Thursday, Feb 11, 8-11 p.m.

Where: Sally O’Brien’s in Union Square, Somerville

Why: Because you want to hear some great music, buy an autographed CD and maybe a t-shirt!

There’s no cover charge – so you have no excuse NOT to come. : )

Amy’s fulfilled a lifelong dream to record and release her very first CD – a compilation of 12 covers (Bonnie Raitt, Etta James, Kep Mo/Johnny Cash) as well as a couple of astoundingly good originals.

To celebrate this accomplishment, Amy’s bringing together a hundred or so of her best friends & fans for a CD release party next Saturday:

Steeple Coffee House – January 9th

Amy and the RCRs will bring the good music down to Southboro, MA on Saturday night January 9th. This will be the band’s first appearance at the Steeple and it should be a pretty special night!

The non-profit all-volunteer Steeple Coffeehouse contributes to Pilgrim Church’s Outreach Program. Proceeds are donated to benefit various local and regional charities

Christmas Radio Broadcasts

In case you missed it, Bob Sevigny and Amy Black appeared on WUML’s Almost Acoustic radio program this past Saturday to promote the release of the new CD and a fundraising event for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. Bob and Amy performed a few Christmas songs!

On Wednesday, December 23rd at 11am – Bob and Amy will be on the radio again. This time they will be broadcasting from WCAP 980AM in downtown Lowell during Merrimack Valley Radio Midday (with Teddy Panos, Dean Johnson, “Wireless” Mike Flynn, and “Everyday” Evan).

Nashua Holiday Stroll!

The Goodtime Stringband and sister-band Amy Black & the Red Clay Rascals will be performing at the 2009 Nashua Holiday Stroll on Saturday, November 28th.

The Goodtimers will start things off at 7pm at the TD Bank Venue (191 Main Street, Nashua). Amy and the Rascals will follow with at set at 8:30pm. We hope to see you there!
